A pristine river site located at the southern tip
of the foothills of the Appalachians.
This community aspires to be a modern day “agritopia,” featuring wholesome agricultural practices, and great place-making, relevant to our own modern culture. The master plan is the culmination of key themes that stakeholders carefully selected to ensure the creation of the optimal community—one that preserves much of the natural realm, but also creates farms and hamlets. Themes include honoring the heritage of the site, fusing new and old land husbandry practices, celebrating the river, advancing vernacular architecture, illustrating a light carbon footprint, and embracing simplicity as paradise.
